Homemade mayonnaise – that is not only delicious taste of your favorite sauce, but the benefits of natural ingredients! All you need – half of a lemon, a whole egg (with no `what to do with leftover egg whites?`), some oil, salt, mustard and of kitchen appliances – a stick blender.

|Lemon||75 g (juice 1/2 lemon)|
To use lemon efficiently, first pour over lukewarm water and let the lemon soak for 15 minutes. Then drain, rinse with a splash of boiling water then wipe well (fruit are often covered with special wax, but there is no need to eat it :)).
Grate lemon zest (if you have a grater with several sizes of holes, use medium or the smallest size). Once the whole lemon is zested, collect the zest and freeze for later use, baking for example a pie and instead of wasting it. Squeeze lemon juice.
Blend egg with salt. Without drawing the blender up add the mustard powder, then push lemon juice into the liquid, blend for 5 seconds. With the blender still running slowly drizzle the oil in.
